About UTM Tags

UTM codes (Urchin Tracking Module) are also known as UTM parameters or tracking tags because they make it possible to map the origin of website traffic.

UTM codes are pieces of text that you paste at the end of a URL. When users click on a link with UTM tags, your analytics software – such as Google Analytics – can process these pieces of text.

This way, you can easily gain insight into how many people click on a specific button in your newsletter. UTM tags are therefore widely used for email marketing, search engine advertising and social media advertising.
